What’s going on?

Are you as glad to see some sunshine as we are? We all know the rain is welcome, but it’s been a little dreary lately. We thought we’d pop in from time to time to let you know about some of the projects we’re working on, what’s coming up in the store.

We have some great quilts underway! Nanci and Lori are working on a fun, modern design in two different colorways. They’re using Marcus Fabrics Color Defined collection by Faye Burgos along with some companions. Nanci is working with the Coral/Pink colorway; Lori is using fabrics from the Aqua/Brown group. The quilts are the same save for the different colorways and mix, match and blend patterns and textures in a variety of easy to piece squares. We’ll be sure to show you the finished quilts, but keep a lookout for these knockouts!

Nanci is also working on a quilt featuring Windham’s The Brick House fabrics. It is similar in concept to the quilt Windham features for this collection but uses less yardage. We think you’ll love it! Trust us, it’s not as difficult as it looks because those hexagons and triangle border are gorgeous cheater fabrics. The companion fabrics from the collection are already looking quite at home in our reproduction fabric section! You’ll want to add these to your repro stash!

Cindy is working on the America quilt using the Clothworks America fabric collection designed by Leeré Aldrich. You’re sure to have seen this quilt featured in ads in your favorite quilt magazines. The America collection is a new twist on patriotic red, white and blue fabrics — really fresh and new!

So, those are just some of the things going on here at Guildrafters Quilt Shop. We hope you’ll look forward to seeing our finished quilts and we’re sure you’ll want to add at least one of these to your project list!
