Getting Ready for Spring!

Do you feel it? Is the abundant sunshine helping? Really, winter is just about over and spring is right around the corner! We promise.

With that in mind, we’re ready to get in gear with new, bright and fun projects, aren’t you? To help you get started, we’ve just posted LOTS and LOTS of new kits to our Kits page. (LOTS!) Please have a look. We hope you’ll see something that makes you want to SEW NOW! There are all sizes of quilts, aprons, tote bags and adorable Scruffy dog — so something for every skill level and time constraint.

One quilt that has garnered a lot of attention is the Sew-it quilt:

The Sew-It Book is Amy Barickman’s (Indygo Junction) reproduction of a classic sewing book from the 1920s. The Sew-It Book fabric collection is just out from Red Rooster Fabrics.  We kitted this quilt, and are awaiting more Sew-It Book fabrics so we can kit it again (as you can see above, the kit basket has no more kits). In the meantime, we have the wonderful Sew-It Book. It has charming vintage projects that we just love! We’ll post here when kits for the quilt are once again available.

We also  have lots of samples up in the store that were made using the Boondoggle (TM) and Baby Boondoggle (TM) rulers. We featured these rulers during the recent Cabin Fever Shop Hop. They are wonderful diamond-shaped rulers with a more gentle angle than other diamond quilt shapes you might know — the gentler angle makes piecing a breeze! Here are some quilts we’ve made using the Boondoggle or Baby Boondoggle ruler.

We have both ruler sizes in stock. If you have wanted to try diamonds in a quilt but have been afraid to try, these rulers may be your solution!

Whether you’re looking for fresh inspiration or a project to dive into, stop by and see all of the bright new things at Guildcrafters!
