CLASSES

Class Policies

Classes are paid by check only at the time of registration. Cancellations between 5-10 days before class date receive store merchandise credit only; cancellations less than five days before class date receive no credit. Call for class availability before sending check: 248-541-8545.

Please be sure your sewing machine is in proper working order and that you are familiar with its operation before coming to class. Bringing your machine’s manual is also a good idea. Teachers are familiar with general sewing machine operation but cannot instruct students in their particular machine’s operation nor diagnose and solve machine issues.

Sew What? . . . It’s Wednesday

Here’s a great way to get over the mid-week hump. Put the dishes in the dishwasher, drop the kids at school, run a few errands, then join the girls for a couple hours of sewing with teacher assistance. Bring the project of your choice and your sewing machine (or your hand-work) and give your creativity a middle of the week boost. BYOB (brownbag lunch it, if you want to take a break).

Pretend Piecing Club

The Pretend Piecing Club features a series of 12 mini quilts with a different block design each month that uses fusible applique and hand buttonhole stitching. These adorable wallhangings are designed to hang on charming metal hangers. Each month’s mini quilt design will be available in two different colorways–one is traditional and the other is bright and bold!

The Pretend Piecing Club will meet monthly with demonstrations and instruction for Patti’s Pretend Piecing. Club members who attend the meeting will also receive special hand-outs, a tasty recipe, a discount on the featured colors of perle cotton, show and tell and a chance to win a door prize!

If you register for the Pretend Piecing Club, pay for and attend the meeting, your fabric kit will be included in the $5 monthly fee and will be reserved for you.

Hanger will be available in the store for purchase. After the meetings, kits in both bright and traditional colorways will be for sale for $5 each.
